1. My name is Jaclyn.
2. But you can call me Jaq or Jax.
3. I recently celebrated my 25th birthday.
4. But I still feel like I'm 19.
5. I graduated from university almost four years ago
6. And I am going back to school at grad school this June 2006.
7. But I will still be operating the business with my family at Tagaytay
8. And is still fulfilling one of my dreams to put up a coffee shop.
9. All that's left is my bookshop
10. Which I hopefully can put up in five to seven years.
11. I am the youngest of four kids
12. And I have two wonderful and handsome nephews
13. Karlo is seven years old
14. And Kaleb is four years old.
15. They drive me nuts.
16. But I still love them.
17. I love my friends
18. And I'm lucky to have a lot of good friends that I consider family
19. They look after me and I look after them.
20. I have three sets of friends.
21. The first group I met when we were in high school.
22. There are 15 of us
23. We started out with four people hanging out during lunch
24. Then one by one people started joining us until we eventually became a group of 15.
25. And we try to get together regularly.
26. The second group I met when I was a freshman in college
27. There are nine of us
28. And we met each other because we took up the same course.
29. We all clicked and the rest is history.
30. We try to get together at least twice a year.
31. The third group I met on my senior year of college
32. There are a lot of us! Probably around 20.
33. We all worked for the student government
34. And our history kept us together
35. We try to get together at least once a year.
36. I have a lot of friends all over the place.
37. But these are the people I run to when I need a friend.
38. I'm a writer.
39. I waswriting a book for almost a year
40. And I've shelved it for now.
41. I also write scripts that have yet to be made
42. But I'm not worried.
43. Movies are my passion
44. And I try to watch a new movie at least twice a week.
45. Some people think it's a hobby but it's not.
46. I love to watch movies and analyze it piece by piece
47. I always look forward to watching movies made by Steven Soderbergh, Pedro Almodovar, Peter Jackson, Quentin Tarantino, Lino Brocka, Raymond Red and Mike de Leon.
48. Some of my favorite movies include Reservoir Dogs, Todo Sobre Mi Madre, Hero, Lucia, Bayaning Third World, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and A Waking Life.
49. I am most interested in experimental and foreign films but my weakness will always be the cheezy horror flicks of the 90s.
50. I love to read books.
51. In fact, I'm having trouble arranging my books coz there are just too many!
52. I try to read different genres
53. But I always seem to gravitate towards general fiction
54. I read books of Douglas Coupland, Tracy Chevalier, Jhumpa Lahiri and Richard Russo.
55. And I am still and always will be a fan of chick lit.
56. I read mostly chick lit from Jane Green and Marian Keyes.
57. I find comfort from the music I listen to.
58. The music I listen to is not limited to popular music.
59. I listen mostly to jazz/easy listening, bossa nova, rock and folk.
60. I love listening to Norah Jones, Elliott Smith, Jason Mraz, Alanis Morissette, The Carpenters, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone and Kings of Convenience.
61. I've been blogging for almost three years now.
62. And I don't think I'm going to be giving it up soon.
63. I have two places on the Net actually.
64. But the other one is a "friends-only" journal.
65. I travelled around Europe almost four years ago
66. And I am raring to go back!
67. I'm saving up for it
68. And hopefully I can go back in three to four years.
69. I want to go back to Venice in Italy to listen to music and sip coffee at Piazza San Marco.
70. I want to go back to Nice in France and have dinner along the French Riviera.
71. I want to go back to Paris in France and have a cup of coffee in one of those small cafes that fill up the city.
72. I want to go back to London in England and just breathe in the city.
73. I want to go back to Stratford-upon-Avon in England just because William Shakespeare was born there.
74. And I want to include Spain this time because it has always piqued my fascination.
75. And I want to include Prague because of that City Cabs episode I saw on TV.
76. I want to go back to Malaysia because 3 days is never enough!
77. I love going to the beach
78. Especially to Bohol, where everything is just peaceful and clean.
79. But I'd love to go back to Boracay where everything is just a walk away (well, almost.)
80. But my most favorite place in the world is on a big, comfy chair with a good cup of coffee and a good book.
81. I love coffee.
82. People around me think I drink too much coffee
83. I do actually.
84. But I'm not about to let go of it.
85. I love it too much to let go of it.
86. I also love to drink my beer.
87. I don't get to drink beer a lot.
88. Because, unlike coffee, it's quite lonely to drink beer by yourself.
89. I am a big fan of reality shows
90. I always watch Survivor and The Amazing Race.
91. I also watch The Apprentice and whatever else looks interesting.
92. I love to watch the WWE.
93. My all-time favorite wrestler will always be Bret "The Hitman" Hart.
94. Right now, I love watching Chris Jericho, John Cena and, especially, Edge in action.
95. I am a recovering Catholic.
96. I rediscovered God and my faith four years ago.
97. And I am trying everyday to live the life He wants me to live.
98. It's been a blast ever since that day
